It has been suggested that this weekend’s Serie A fixture could be postponed due to bad weather, but AC Milan and Bologna are looking at alternatives.

Throughout the week there have been rumours that the weekend’s football could be postponed due to reasons outside of Bologna’s control, and with the mayor seemingly preferring this option, it seemed like this would be done.

However, nothing is ever that straightforward.

As Milan News reports, there are three options being looked at currently, and we should know an outcome later today. Firstly, Bologna would forfeit the game if the Dall’Ara was not accessible for the weekend, and there was no other alternative – which the Rossoblu are looking to avoid.

Therefore, it does not come as a shock to see that the club are looking at playing the fixture in a neutral stadium, and the one preferred currently is Como. Whilst Lega Serie A and Como must approve this, the report suggests that this is the ‘most concrete hypothesis’ currently.

Finally, there is the option where the game is played behind closed doors at 6 pm on Saturday, and the Emilian club would not be able to oppose this. Ultimately, it seems that Milan will probably be playing this weekend, but the setting is unknown.
