MN: Tomori rejoins group training – he will play against Genoa after recovering from hip issue

By Oliver Fisher -

Some good news has emerged from Milanello as Fikayo Tomori has fully recovered from his hip problem and trained with the rest of the squad today.

According to the latest from Antonio Vitiello of MilanNews on Twitter, Tomori trained with the rest of the squad this afternoon at Milanello, which means he has recovered for the trip to Genoa on Wednesday night.

It is an important return for head coach Stefano Pioli especially after the red card that captain Alessio Romagnoli got against Sassuolo yesterday – meaning he will be disqualified for the game – and also because Milan will be able to lean on the Englishman again in a difficult defensive moment.

After the 4-3 defeat against Fiorentina last weekend and the 3-1 loss to Sassuolo, Milan matched something they have not done for over 23 years as Pioli’s men conceded 7 goals or more in consecutive league games for the first time since March 1998, when they lost 3-0 against Inter and 4-1 against Juventus.
