MN: Tomori shines in first start for England and his Milan renewal is imminent

Fikayo Tomori has been a key player for AC Milan ever since he joined the club from Chelsea back in January of 2021. Yesterday, he also made his first start for England as they faced Italy, fittingly enough.

It was the perfect game to start Tomori as he knows most of the Italy players very well, and he showed that last night. He played really well and it’s safe to say that he deserves to get the chance again.

As highlighted by MilanNews, Tomori took another important step in his career last night, consistently delivering high-level performances even in new situations. Gianluca Scamacca, who was the striker for Italy, struggled a lot against the centre-back.

In the meantime, as the report continues, the renewal talks are ongoing with Tomori’s agent even if there has been a slowdown in renewal talks generally lately. Milan absolutely intend to renew him, though, and will offer a sizeable pay rise to convince him. The renewal is ready, in other words.
