Pioli had a number of different selection issues to contend with in Sunday’s 1-1 draw against Hellas Verona as Andrea Conti, Simon Kjaer, Ismael Bennacer, Rade Krunic and Zlatan Ibrahimovic all missed out.
According to the latest from MilanNews.it’s Anto Vitiello though, the Milan boss should welcome back Andrea Conti and Simon Kjær for the derby as both trained regularly with the rest of the group on Wednesday morning. The chances of them returning for Sunday night’s derby are very high.
Meanwhile, the same outlet are reporting that Ibrahimovic had a personalised session out on the field, but there are still positive feelings about the recovery of the Swede. The player wants to proceed calmly without forcing and risking doing more damage, having had muscle fatigue.
