AC Milan are moving fast to try and secure the signing of Club Nacional full-back Matias Viña to replace Ricardo Rodriguez, a report claims.
Two sales have been finalised over the last 48 hours as Suso has joined Sevilla on an 18-month loan with option to buy (which could become an obligation), while Krzysztof Piatek is in Berlin ahead of a €27m move to Hertha.
Soon though, it will be three, as Ricardo Rodríguez has in fact left Milano on Thursday morning ahead of a flight to the Netherlands, where he will join PSV on the basis of a €2m loan with an option to buy set at €4m.
Once the sale of the Swiss full-back has been completed – and after the collapse of moves to Fenerbahce and Napoli it cannot be totally guaranteed – the signing of a replacement can be finalised.
According to MilanNews.it, he profile at the top of the list is that of Matias Viña, a 22-year-old from Uruguayan capital side Nacional. Milan are waiting for a response after submitting a precise offer: a paid loan of €1.5m with an obligation to buy (set at around €7m) under certain conditions.
Viña is ready to land in Milan for medical visits, the report claims, once the offer has been accepted by his club.
