MN: Venezia clash nearly sold out but over 20k tickets remain for Milan-Liverpool

The ticket struggles continue for AC Milan. Or rather, the ticket struggles continue in the Champions League as a result of high prices. Indeed, according to a report, there are over 20k tickets left for the game against Liverpool.

A few days ago, we highlighted the hefty prices for the Milan-Liverpool as the tickets certainly didn’t fly off the shelf. In the Secondo Rosso section, for example, a ticket for the big game costs €139 and this is significantly higher than the Venezia game, for which a ticket costs €59 in the same section.

As followed up by MilanNews today, there are over 20k unsold tickets for the Liverpool game, while 70k spectators (nearly sold out) are expected for the game against Venezia. Clearly, this is due to the high prices and the fact that many Rossoneri fans believe the team will lose against the Reds anyway.

It certainly begs some questions regarding the management’s ability to read the room, given that the prices were revealed after the first three games. A Champions League game will always be a Champions League, but anyone can understand that a family isn’t willing to spend a significant amount on just one game in this situation.
