MN: What Pioli is asking of the Milan players ahead of away trip to Rome

By Isak Möller -

Milan have struggled in the last few weeks, that certainly hasn’t gone unnoticed, and they now need to bounce back with a strong reaction. Taking on Roma tomorrow evening, it’s the perfect opportunity to regain some confidence.

Stefano Pioli’s men have lost the last two games in Serie A and also drew both games against Red Star, advancing on away goals. Four games without a win, in other words, and that really needs to change if they want to finish in the top four.

According to MilanNews, the manager has asked the Rossoneri players to be less afraid, to return to the courageous and carefree Milan of a few months ago. The pressure of sitting at the top has hurt the team, and mentally there are some struggles.

As mentioned, the game against Roma is a perfect opportunity to bounce back as a win would be massive, especially considering the Giallorossi’s position in the standings. However, the players will have to work very hard to make it happen.
