MN: Leao, Pulisic, Morata and more – when Milan’s internationals will each return

By Oliver Fisher -

As we move towards the end of July and subsequently the beginning of the season, the timetable for the return of AC Milan’s internationals has now become clearer.

According to MilanNews, Luka Jovic will be the first player that rejoins the rest of the squad after his campaign at the European Championship. Serbia were knocked out in the group stages and so, after a short vacation, he will be back with the team tomorrow.

Yunus Musah and Christian Pulisic will also join the tour in the USA on July 26, returning from their Copa America campaign with the United States which – like Jovic – ended with a disappointing group stage exit.

The other internationals will then follow starting with Rafael Leao on July 28 and Noah Okafor on July 30. Portugal got to the quarter-finals but were beaten on penalties by France, while Switzerland also lost on penalties at the same stage to England.

Then the last to be eliminated will be back with the team. Mike Maignan and Theo Hernandez will resume training on August 2, in addition to Tijjani Reijnders who will be back on August 3. France were beaten in the semi-finals by Spain, while the Netherlands exited to England at the same stage.

Alvaro Morata went all the way with Spain and lifted the trophy before undergoing his medical with Milan and signing his contract in Madrid. He is on a well-earned break at the moment and will make his first visit to Milanello on August 5.
