AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli is set to leave Krzysztof Piatek on the bench again for Sunday’s game against Roma, a report claims.
Since the Lecce game, there has been a lot of talk about Pioli’s attack, mainly the debate of whether to start Leao or Piatek as the centre-forward.
In the second half, the Polish striker came on and got on the scoresheet after the Portuguese had been wasteful, which has intensified the battle even more.
Pioli revealed his belief that the pair can play together during his pre-Roma press conference, however it seems that only one will start.
According to MilanNews.it, Pioli will start with Piatek on the bench this evening, having acknowledged that the Polish striker is not yet 100% of his physical condition.
As a result, he is ‘not able to be brilliant’ for 90 minutes in both phases of the game, whereas Leao is in better shape and can offer more guarantees in that sense.
