MN24: Pioli considers switching positions of two forwards ahead of trip to Hellas Verona

AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli could consider making a change in the attack for Sunday’s game against Hellas Verona, according to a report.

MilanNews24 writes how Rafael Leao disappointed in the role of centre-forward in the match against Udinese as he was virtually anonymous and did not offer the movement and dynamism that Pioli will have been expecting, given he is a different striker to both Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Mario Mandzukic.

Milan’s result was clearly influenced by the weight of absences in midfield and in attack, as it took a 97th-minute penalty to snatch a point after a poor performance in which the Rossoneri were virtually unable to break down Udinese’s low block.

Leao appeared detached and not very dangerous while Rebic on the left wing was erratic and not his usual incisive self, a reason that could induce Pioli to swap the positions of the two forwards. In the match against Verona it could be the Portuguese who will play wide on the left while the Croatian would be up front.
