AC Milan have been fortunate enough to enjoy Luka Modric for a year and the midfielder spoke about his time at the club.
It seems very likely that Modric is done with Milan. Reports last week suggested that he will finish the World Cup and make a decision, but retirement seems a likely next step for the midfielder and a return to Madrid could be on the cards.

All hope may not be lost, though, with Matteo Moretto stating that no decisions had been made yet. Perhaps there could be a slight chance for the Rossoneri once they have hired new management. Who knows…
Modric ‘realised dream’ in Italy
Speaking to Poretcast, Modric reflected on his time in Italy and how he fulfilled a dream in multiple ways with the Rossoneri, as Calciomercato.com relayed this morning.
“I feel really good. I grew up following Italian football. Italy has given the world some of the most intelligent players like Totti, Pirlo, Baggio, Del Piero, and many more. The fans understand football and appreciate tactical and technical players. And that’s why I feel so good here.
“I’m happy to have realised my dream of playing in Italy in one day. It happened, and I did it at the best club in Italy, for me.”
From his wording, you wouldn’t feel much hope about the future – if you were still harbouring any anyways – but the World Cup could give him an outside perspective to reflect and allow changes to be made. In football, you can never say never.
