Luka Modric will sign for AC Milan next week and the midfielder has posted a message to say goodbye to his current club, Real Madrid.
There is a lot of intrigue regarding Modric’s move to Milan, for several reasons. Tactically, it remains to be seen what Massimiliano Allegri has planned, whilst there are also questions about his performance levels.

Nevertheless, the Croatian will provide a bit of quality and leadership where there is a huge need for it. As well as providing a reference point for the younger midfielders in the squad. All in all, it is quite a low risk move.
‘Home forever’
For Modric, it is the chance to fulfill a childhood dream, to play for the Rossoneri. Though, to realise that dream, he must end another, which he has confirmed on his Instagram, as Goal relays.
“My home for 13 years. My home forever. This isn’t goodbye, it’s see you later.”
The following steps are being heavily anticipated. After all, it is not everyday that a Ballon d’Or winner arrives.

Looking at the photos how young he looks in some of them makes the “he’s too old for Milan”-crap when leaving England for Real 14(?) years ago beyond ridiculous. Isn’t he the most successful player for Real in the whole club history? And we passed on him due to him “being too old”… 😀 😀 😀 😀
I’ll answer to myself. Yes. Yes he is. 😀
We offload REijnders and so far get a 6 with a back up for the 6… Where are the Dutchman’s goals going to come from? Not Ricci and Modric.
Not saying you are not right but it’s also true that if we had a functional team play in offense, we wouldn’t need 10+ goals from midfield players. Before Tiji it was RLC, btw…
This. If our new midfield can prevent us conceding over 30 goals, Leao, Pulisic & Gimenez will score enough. It’s the defensive record we need to worry about.
Who exactly are you counting on? Fofana? OK. Ricci? OK. Who else? RLC is still an experiment in fitness… Musah is neither here nor there. Adli is with Futuro. Pobega is a don*ey… Bennacer is more out than in. Where does that leave us?
I’m counting on the team. At least Allegri might have a chance of making the team play like a team. The people who don’t want to be there aren’t. That’s a fng good starting place compared to last season if you ask me.
The mercato isn’t done yet.
