Today, AC Milan midfielder Luka Modric was asked about what his future looked like by the Croatian media channels and he refused to give an answer.
As of right now, Modric is still a Milan player and he will remain one until his contract expires at the end of the month. So, this may be the final days of him being registered to play for the Rossoneri and unfortunately, it seems likely that this will be it.

Matteo Moretto has confirmed that a decision has not been made yet. However, the Croatian was willing to renew before and now, a decision has not been made. In other words, his renewal seems a little unlikely now.
Instead, it appears retirement will be next on the cards for the maestro, but he has refused to announce a decision yet.
Modric doesn’t give answer on future
It has always been a case of waiting for the World Cup and seeing how he felt. Maybe he is not ready to bow out after the tournament, who knows? Ultimately, though, the decision is and has always been his.
He was asked by Croatian Federation’s media channels about the future, and Calciomercato.com has relayed his coy answer.
“I’m focused exclusively on the tournament because I want to help the team in the best way possible.”

That would be a shame for such a talented player to retire simply because of age. He was one of the best midfielders in Serie a last season.
