CM: Moncada at Belgium-Japan U21s but not only for Vranckx – the other interesting names

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan chief scout Geoffrey Moncada was at the Pinatar stadium in Murcia yesterday to watch the friendly match between Belgium U21 and Japan U21, a report claims.

As Calciomercato.com report, the main focus of the visit was to watch Aster Vranckx in action and he certainly saw a positive performance from the Milan loanee, who played the entire 90 minutes wearing the captain’s armband.

Despite the fact that Stefano Pioli has rarely used Vranckx this season (less than 200 minutes of total playing time) the management believe in the 20-year-old and they are expected to ask to renew his loan for another year.

However, Moncada also took the opportunity to observe some of the other Belgian talents live such as Maxim De Cuyper, a left-back on loan from Club Brugge to Westerlo with 8 goals and 6 assists in the season, and Largie Ramazani at Almeria.

There were also some interesting Japanese prospects on show such as Taiyo Hiraoka from Shonan and Yuito Suzuki from Shimizu who both play as attacking midfielders naturally.

It is worth mentioning that Scout7Calcio was the first to pick up on Moncada’s presence in the stands and also highlighted Ramazani and Suzuki as players who might be worth looking at.
