Monza 1-1 Milan Primavera: Rossoneri drop points as Scotti scores 10th

This afternoon, AC Milan Primavera dropped points when they drew to Monza. However, it was not all bad, with Filippo Scotti reaching 10 goals.

Against Monza, Milan were expected to get another big result against a side who have flirted with the possibility of relegation this season. Yet, they were not able to maintain their early pressure and conceded in the middle of the second half.

There was certainly time for a reply, but it was not to be. After last week’s win, there was a hope that some momentum could be built towards the end of the season. So, this may be slightly disappointing.

Match report

The game started well, with both teams coming forward with intent in the opening stages. However, it would be the Rossoneri who would take the lead. A penalty from Scotti meant he took his total for the season to 10.

During the latter parts of the first half, the hosts tried to push for an equaliser and it followed through into the second half, too. Eventually, it did pay off, though. After 67 minutes, they equalised with a well-struck effort that beat Bouyer under the bar.

A disappointing result, but it certainly could have been better.
