Milan trio Como

Sky: Monza eyeing out of favour Milan trio for January mercato – duo more likely

AC Milan will have a big focus on offloading talent in this mercato, and there are three players who are being eyed for moves to a fellow Serie A club.

With ambitions high for Milan, there is a need to raise funds quickly, and three players could provide some huge financial help for the Rossoneri. This afternoon, Milan News have relayed a piece from Sky which states that Monza have made contact for Fode Ballo-Toure, Divock Origi and Noah Okafor.

It is likely a dream situation for the Diavolo, considering how much they would like to part with Ballo-Toure and Origi, given the struggles to do so over the past 18 months. With Okafor’s move to Leipzig collapsing, a move away from Milan would also be appreciated, presumably.

The report suggests that contact for the long-term out-of-favour duo, Origi and Ballo-Toure, is more probable than Okafor, with the report suggesting that the interest in the Swissman is just that, given Okafor is ‘not convinced’ of the idea.

A move to Monza would almost certainly be seen as a ‘step down’ for the winger, considering he was heading to Champions League side RB Leipzig earlier this month, a stark contrast to Monza.

  1. We should just let them have them both for free and in Origis case if it means we pay part of his salary so be it as we would still save cash in the greater schemes of things.

  2. You run this story back with a different club every time. They’re not going to leave without Milan covering the majority of the salaries and why would any club offer more than a loan with a very low option? Still, respect to both, if they move on I’ll wish them all the best.
