Monza forward says Milan are ‘very strong’ but ‘we must not be afraid’

Monza forward Gianluca Caprari has said that AC Milan are ‘very strong’ but his side ‘must not be afraid’ when the two teams face off at the weekend.

Speaking during an interview with Sky Sport Italia (via Milan News) ahead of the Serie A clash, the former Inter player did not shy away from the fact that Monza have their work cut out to get a result against the Rossoneri.

He admitted that Stefano Pioli’s side are very strong but he stressed that Monza must not be afraid and must play their own game.

“Milan are very strong but in recent years I have understood that you can win against anyone. We also won against Juve. We must not be afraid. Last year I scored at San Siro against Milan, it was nice. We hope to have a great game,” he said.

The game takes place at San Siro on Saturday at 18:00 local time. It will see ex-Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi take on his former club as the owner of Monza.

Monza had an extremely poor start to the season but now that they have sacked Giovanni Stroppa and hired Raffaello Palladino, their form has picked up a lot.

“With Palladino we have changed course, the defeat in Empoli was undeserved, we had many chances without taking them, but I think the loss will do us good. With this attitude we will still improve,” Caprari said.
