AC Milan must add fresh faces to their attack this summer as the department continues to suffer with a few names being evaluated, a report claims.
Today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via PianetaMilan) talks about the future of Milan’s attack and more specifically the centre-forward department, with Alvaro Morata an idea to restore consistency to the department.
The Spaniard is currently at Atletico Madrid where he has scored 12 goals in 35 games across all competitions so far this season, but he is only under contract until 2024 and seems to be battling with Memphis Depay for a starting spot.
Then, the Rossoneri also need to look to the future and Lorenzo Colombo is a player they already have in their hands. He has 5 goals in 25 total games this season, and the Rossoneri will use their buy-back clause which will see Lecce get a €1m development fee of sorts.
The plan is to bring him back to Milan and then see how the summer pans out, but he could remain as an alternative to the starts. Moreover, Colombo and Tommaso Baldanzi are already team-mates with Italy U21s which could help the management in their pursuit of the latter.
