AC Milan have seemingly got a deal done for Alvaro Morata to head to Como this summer. A difficult saga now finished.
Saying that there have been difficulties with the Morata exit is an understatement. From Galatasaray stating that he was their player to him not showing up to training, it has now been smooth sailing. However, it seems it is now done.

Morata heading to Como
Earlier today, Daniele Longo stated on his X that the move to Como would ‘close today’ and in the past 30 minutes, he has shared an update with a wink and a tick, insinuating it is done. Then, he has also added a final tweet, stating that the clubs have an agreement worth €9 million.
It is a move which has been dragged out, not by the Rossoneri, however, they are now the ones to be benefitting from it. Perhaps, this can be a domino move for the club to start making their own moves in the striker department.
As has been reported, moves have been reliant on others leaving before another arrives, so this could be a huge sale for the Diavolo’s season moving forward. It remains to be seen whether this could unlock a move for Dusan Vlahovic. However, it is a step in the right direction financially, you would imagine.
So what do we get out of it? 6 million?
Fair.
And not having to pay his salary.
5M Loan fee plus 9M Obligation to transfer to Como.
We paid 13M for him and had him for 1 season, so we get plusvalenza for him.
I hope we are gonna have registered profit on Morata…. does anyone know whats the value on Morata on the books after one year of amortisation!?
This is what I think. I could be wrong.
I seem to remember that we bought him for 10 million on a 2-year contract. So we kept him for 6 months and with the 6 months of loan to Galatasaray, interrupted early, it’s one year; then the loan to Como adds another year. This means that his amortization would then be complete, 5 M plus 5 M for the first and second years. We seem to be now loaning him to Como with an obligation to buy for 12 Million of which Como would be already paying 3 Million to Galatasaray as compensation for the early termination of the loan for which they paid 6 Million. However these 3 M would be deducted from the 12 M, with Como paying us 9 M next season when they will have to exercise the obligation to buy. This makes of this deal, a profit for Milan in the books. This is what I concluded from the multiple conflicting news about this.

Thank u! I didn’t remember the transfer fee for Morata, I thought it was something like 13 mil but I was wrong. If we are gonna get a capital gain that is awesome since it didn’t work for us.

Morata is outgoing, not incoming. So there will be no 2 strikers from Juventus. Morata is going to Como.
As for Vlahovic, it’s not even looking like we will get him, as we seem to be now favoring getting Hojlund on loan from ManU. It would be a loan with option to buy, which I think will be unlikely to be exercised as it would still be very expensive for ManU not to lose money; by the end of Hojlund’s loan hopefully Camarda will be fully developed from his 1 year at Lecce and we would no longer need Hojlund, provided that Santi does well in his second year with us.
Morata is running from himself, I swear….
Well, he is joining his buddy at Como, Cesc. This could be a good move for him.
