Earlier today, Alvaro Morata’s move to AC Milan was made official, and with it, we now know what number he will wear for the Rossoneri, and he has offered his gratitude to Yacine Adli for the gift.
Although the announcement of his signing only arrived today, it has been coming for days, if not much longer.
Shortly after the European Championship final, stories emerged stating that a move was almost completed. Everything was seemingly finalised at the beginning of this week, but the actual confirmation did not arrive until this afternoon.
Questions are in place about the signing, but Milan have gotten a striker who has scored for fun in recent years, with a heap of Serie A experience, and he provides leadership and experience to replace the hole left by Olivier Giroud, just like the Frenchman brang when Zlatan Ibrahimovic left.
Following the news that Morata would be taking the number 7, he took to Instagram to thank Adli, who will now wear the number 94, and his message has been relayed by Milan News.
“We don’t know each other yet but you made a beautiful gesture to me. THANK YOU. See you soon.”
The Spaniard will depart for a well-deserved break after the confirmation of his deal, and he could make his debut in around a month.
Milan has always been a family environment
Adli such a team player. Top lad
I guess 1994 was already taken… Poor Adli.
That lad just keeps on giving. Such a team player.
Adli a lad with 🔴⚫ heart
I hope Adli stays with us because he bleeds red and black.
Real Madrid = Office
Milan = Family
The very reason I pray Adli stays
He is a complete team player, he often gives out and ready to sacrifice for the team to keep smiling!
Adli is a true Red and Black
Milan management: “guess who we’ve just signed”

Adli: “I know he wears 7 for Spain. Can I give up my Jersey number for him?”
Management: “ahww. How lovely of you Adli. We would let Alvaro know.”
Call to Morata.
Management: “hello Morata, howdy”
Morata: “I’m doing great. Just got back from a walk. Xup?”
Management: “guess what. Adli just gave up his Jersey number for you.”
Morata: “For real! Ahwwn, you guys are such a lovely family. I can’t wait to start playing after my break”
