Diego Moreira got another goal off the bench for AC Milan, sealing the deal against Lecce, and he seems to be content with his role.
Many raised their eyebrows at Ruben Amorim’s decision to start Pervis Estupinan on the left-hand side as opposed to Moreira. The Ecuadorian wasn’t bad overall, but the Belgian certainly showed what can happen when he gets the chance.

Just four minutes after coming on, he made the most of his pass and composure to slot home the 3-0 goal for Milan. He’s becoming a bit of a super sub for the Rossoneri now, also considering the brace against Lazio.
Speaking to DAZN after the game, as transcribed by MilanNews, he made it clear that his only goal is to help the team. Whether that means doing so from start or off the bench doesn’t matter too much, even if the end-goal is to be a regular starter.
Three goals in 75 minutes…
“Not bad.”
But this time you scored at San Siro…
“I really like it. I’m so happy. It means a lot to me and my family. I’m happy to have scored my first goal in front of our fans and to have secured a clean sheet.
“With the international break, I think it’s the right time to unwind a bit and recharge my batteries when I get back.”
Are you happy to always come off the bench?
“I’m actually someone who knows exactly what I want from life and my career, so I think it’s important to stay focused. I think I’m a leading example right now: I don’t start, but I come off the bench, I score, and I think I play good games.
“What I have to do is simply help the team and give my all. Whether I start or come on during the game, I have to give it my all, and that’s how I can become a regular starter.
“Now it’s just a matter of working, believing, and showing the coach that I’m ready to start every game.”
What a great weapon to have down the left flank and he also tried really hard on defence. Just need to work on his technique a little bit and some game management situations. But good start. Great for us too
Mark his words, I am a leading example..
Pureclass!
Is he and Estupian playing the same position or what ???
Give credit when it’s due Estupian had a decent game with one master class interception @64 mins of the game to keep the clean sheet
