AC Milan are hoping to see Luka Modric stay with them next season, but they may have lost their chance of that happening.
As it stands, Milan could still retain Modric for the 2026/27 season. However, it is not a convincing position to be in. Indeed, the Croatian will only be at the club if the Rossoneri qualify for the Champions League and they are making it more than tough.

Results have dropped considerably and there is talk of changes in the summer. In fact, these changes could even see Massimiliano Allegri departing the club and considering the midfielder’s appreciation for the coach, it would potentially dampen his chances of staying.
Modric may need to reflect on Milan future
Igli Tare remained confident of the Diavolo’s chances of keeping him next season, but Matteo Moretto has suggested that reflections will take place. Speaking in a segment on Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel, the journalist offered the latest on Modric’s future, via MilanNews.
“Let’s say Tare was quite clear. He tried to pour oil on troubled waters to reassure the fans, saying that Luka Modric is a key player for the team and he’s confident he can continue. There’s clearly optimism that Modric will continue.
“Then there’s also a need to reflect on the sporting project and AC Milan’s future. Modric was asking for certain guarantees, and now we need to figure out how AC Milan’s season will end.”

It’s honestly pathetic that we want to continue with Modric for another year, he is 41 and honestly slows down our game…
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
There isn’t an emoji to show how ridiculous you are.
Yes, as you could see the last games, Modric is the reason lol
Yeah, last two games without him has been great. We scored two goals and only got five against us. Really good games…
Please stay one more year, Modric!!
