Bournemouth have made great progress in their pursuit of Alex Jimenez, according to Matteo Moretto, and they are now close to reaching an agreement with AC Milan.
After playing very little during the pre-season, while failing to impress when given the chance, it’s clear that Max Allegri doesn’t have Jimenez at the top of the pecking order. As a result, the Spaniard has been put on the market.

Como and Roma were quick to express their interest, but by the sounds of it, they have both been overtaken by the Premier League side. In fact, the Rossoneri could be in for a decent payday if the deal materialises.
Bournemouth agreement close
According to Matteo Moretto in his latest video with Fabrizio Romano, Bournemouth have ramped up their pursuit of Jimenez in recent hours. They have subsequently overtaken Roma and Como in their talks with Milan, who are pushing for a loan with an obligation to buy.
The deal is believed to be worth €22-24m, as Moretto states, but there will be more clarity on this down the line. What’s clear is that Milan have communicated to Jimenez that he’s on the market, and that Andoni Iraola’s side are ‘close’ to securing a total agreement.
Real Madrid have also been informed of the talks, seeing as they have a buy-back for the full-back. We will have to wait for more details on this, as the buy-back is supposedly meant to be eligible next summer too.

another Kerkez….
Nowhere near another Kerkez.
Kerkez was never given a chance at Milan and he left for 2mil.
Jimenez was given a chance and if this report is true he’d be leaving for 22-24mil.
Kerkez has had a rough start in Liverpool. We’ll see if he’s the real deal. Alex is a very technical player but maybe a bit too hot headed for my liking. He gives all but his decision making needs to improve quite a bit for him to be a top level player. But yeah his talent is undeniable.
Whether he fails at Liverpool or not -looking back-selling him for pennies was never a good decision.
However, sitting on the bench behind Theo might not have done him any good and he could totally be forgotten by now has he ended up staying.
your fav Maldini sold him, i thought Maldini was god?
Maldini isn’t god, he just goat defender in football history & Milan biggest legend.. & u r biggest loser here, stfu go back to ur cave!
In my opinion, I’d give Jimenez another chance. The thing is he should work on his anger, if we help him on that, he’s a talented player and we should keep him.
From Jimenez to Athekame – that is definitely a downgrade.
This management has always been about profit and not necessarily about sporting results. If this goes through they’ll call it a win and don’t look back.
Sure, that’s why they spend most of the money the make in sales on new players.
I love 💚 athekame and jimenez 💚, but jimenez will one day make us lose a trophy 🏆 and I meant it because of his ANGER weather we help him control it or not he will. So the best option is that we let him go and get more playing time at different team.🙏🙏 recently in cremonese match look at the way he shouted at the referee and had a yellow card for doing nothing.
We need to buy back theo in the summer window. Currently apart from leao and puli. There is no other player who can single handedly win us games with a moment of brilliance.
This will be big mistake
Amen.
Such a shame. I’ve always considered his talents more suited to a more attacking role, like LW or RWB . He needs to improve on his defense and obviously his temperament.
Selling Jimenez leaves us exposed. Leao injured, Pulisic injured. Who will create on the left side then??? And it’s not like our right side is capable of creating either so it’s a genuine question? Who can win those 1vs1-challenges and provide the ball to the players inside the penalty box? We don’t have those players today. 🤔
The current management sells first, asks questions later.
But don’t worry, a random no name with no preparation or preseason will come and replace Álex Jiménez at the last minute.
Usually yes. But in Jimenez’ case there seem to be disciplinary issues and this is more of a statement sale. Shape up or ship out.
Allegri will probably stick with 352 with Leao-Puli and Santi-Nkunku. Real question is who will cover our wingbacks. Right now there’s Estupinan for LWB and Saele/Athekame. Bartesaghi is not a wingback. So we’re quite short there.
Maybe use Pavlovic there as he loves to charge forwards – especially when we’re losing and that’s pretty much every match these days. 😀
So why wouldn’t Real Madrid exercise their buy-back option this summer and sell him for a profit immediately? This doesn’t seem to make too much sense. Anyways, Jimenez won’t be a Milan player for long even if he stays this summer.
Because their buy back clause is not valid this year so that’s why we are selling him and RM can’t do anything about it.
I highly doubt that’s true. I’m sure there’ll be a clause where they’ll be owed money and have to agree to it. Why would they agree a clause which they would be powerless to do anything about if sold outside of that window?
This also made me confused. From a source:
The Athletic reported that the Spanish club can buy the full-back as early as next summer (this year) for only €9 million – a €4m increase on the fee the Rossoneri paid. Additionally, after another 12 months, this figure will rise again to around €12m.
Maybe it’s an insignificant amount of money for RM to do the dealing hustle of buying the player and selling him again as we’re approaching to end of the market.
I always rate Jimenez high, but yes, seeing the club like Napoli offered him 20 mil ++ would make RM see an opportunity. So, to sell him now will be a wise decision (on economic pov).
Relationships matter, we have a great one with Real. They won’t make a big hussle over 8-10 million unless they want to keep the player themselves
Am starting to hate Milan why Alex Jiminez
Didn’t realize you can sell a player you don’t fully own 🤷♂️…hope we get something explaining that
Massively overrated. He cannot defend. Good riddance. This would make the money wasted on Nkunku bearable.
Good preemptive move. Real still has an option next year for 12M(or something like that)
– either he is good enough to be bought out by Real next year for 12M, in which case this is a great deal for us
– or he is not good enough for RM to want him back for 12M, in which case this is a fantastic deal for us.
Kinda win-win,if you think a step ahead.
Also we have 3 RWBs rn and only one LWB, so selling Jimenez is great, assuming we are looking to get a backup for Estupinan with that money.
Clock is ticking though.
Why??????!!!!!!!
