This morning, Ismael Bennacer left AC Milan with a deal in Croatia awaiting him. However, nothing has really been said about the deal.
Late last night, there were suggestions that Milan could make a deal with GNK Dinamo for Bennacer, and by this morning, everything was done. Of course, there is an asterisk next to this, though. As of right now, the midfielder has not completed a medical.

In Dinamo’s statement, the deal has been done, but it will not be made ‘official’ until the completion of those tests. So, there is a potentially nerve-racking wait to find out the future of the Algerian. Hopefully for his sake, the deal can go through.
Bennacer: Workings of the exit
This morning, Matteo Moretto, on his X account, has offered a little more information about the deal and the option to buy included within the transfer.
“Ismaël Bennacer to Dinamo Zagreb, the loan is free with an option to buy. Dinamo Zagreb covers 40% of the midfielder’s salary.”
Considering he is earning around €4 million per season, it means that around €2.4m of his wage remains on the books.

yep, this past winter, when we patiently waited for his 100th recovery and then he decided he will try for a second time in a row to extort the club and leave for Marseille in the last day of the transfer market.
It’s unfair to judge the players seeing how they are treated by the management and considering that Milan had a new coach every six months between Pioli, Fonseca, Conceicao and Allegri. He’s been a great player for Milan during the short window of success that was the greatest time for the club in 14 years. He might not be this player anymore but good luck to him and thanks for his service.
I would have said the same before the January fiasco, because I am a huge fan of the Bennacer player of the past. I think he was the actual star of the midfield back then.
However, the club, fans, the team heavily relied on him coming back to full fitness and to help the team compete on all fronts. They even said in Nov-Dec that we are not buying any reinforcements in the winter, as he will be the long-awaited ‘new star’ in the midfield.
He wants to move on, that’s fine – make the club aware, shake hands and move on under terms that work out for everyone. Instead we were forced to find a replacement in a matter of hours and ended up with a deep reserve player named Bondo. I can respect him for his prior accomplishments, but being part of the scudetto-team is not a carte-blanche for a lifetime.

Come on, he wanted to leave on 31st August. We kept him because we considered him important and the timing was terrible. Then he was guess where for the first half of the season and they said – no need to buy new midfielder as Bennacer will be back. He came and pulled the same BS on 31 Jan. So no, respect lost. As I said good luck to him, hopefully he stays fit and increases his value
We’ll have to deal with this again next summer. Can’t understand why he didn’t take the offer from Turkey. Surely they would have paid him close to what he’s making now. At least Origi comes off the books in 2026.
