Moretto: Kirovski’s arrival at Milan imminent as more clarity on role emerges

By Oliver Fisher -

Jovan Kirovski will soon be announced as a new AC Milan employee, a journalist has claimed, and some more clarity has arrived regarding his role.

It was reported by The Athletic earlier in the month that Kirovski is in advanced talks to join the Rossoneri after discussions that have been going on for some time, and it seems as though Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been a key endorser.

According to the latest from Matteo Moretto of Relevo, Kirovski’s arrival at Milan is now practically confirmed and now we are simply ‘waiting for the signatures on the contracts’.

The journalist adds that he will play a ‘managerial role between the youth sector and the first team’, and his arrival is closely linked to Ibrahimović having a position as the Senior Advisor to RedBird Capital and Milan.

As we recalled in a recent deep dive into Kirovski’s background, he was appointed technical director of the Los Angeles Galaxy in 2013 and he played a big part in the introduction of their second team, LA Galaxy II. More on that to come.

He managed to bring talents of the caliber of Steven Gerrard, Douglas Costa and Chicharito Hernandez to America, as well as obviously Ibrahimovic, and the pair appear to have struck up a bond from there.
