Moretto: Leao aware of PSG interest but Milan have leverage with €175m clause

Rafael Leao continues to be one of the most talked about names when it comes to AC Milan players, and the latest round of rumours suggests that he is a target for Paris Saint-Germain.

Yesterday various reports claimed that PSG are interested in Leao ahead of the summer, stating that he would be seen as the ideal replacement for Kylian Mbappé who is leaving on a free transfer.

Relevo journalist and mercato expert Matteo Moretto (via Radio Rossonera) commented on the story on the La Fiera del Calcio Twitch channel and he confirmed the interest on the part of the Parisians.

He stated that Leao is ‘one of the first targets on Paris Saint-Germain’s list for the summer’ because they are expected to have to deal with the departure of Mbappé, leaving a big gap on the wing.

One of the profiles they are ‘investigating most carefully’ is Leao, who ‘knows perfectly well that PSG want him’. As for Milan, they will point to his release clause of €175m as the starting price.

However, a bid of €110-120m could be enough to at least bring Giorgio Furlani and Geoffrey Moncada to the negotiating table Moretto suggests.

“There are no negotiations underway at the moment, but yesterday I broke the news because I know that PSG are very attentive about Leao,” he said.
