Moretto: Milan have ‘complete agreement’ with Abraham as swap deal is being sought

By Isak Möller -

Tammy Abraham has ended up at the top of AC Milan’s wish list and according to a report, they already have an agreement with the player. Now, they need to sit down with Roma and a counterpart deal is desired.

Milan announced the signing of Alvaro Morata after the Euros final and while Luka Jovic renewed his contract, the Rossoneri are still keen on signing one more striker. Abraham is now the priority and as was also reported earlier today, next week could be decisive.

According to Matteo Moretto in his latest article for the Daily Briefing, Abraham is the most concrete target and Milan would like to reduce his price by including a player. Alexis Saelemaekers is one of the candidates and this formula cannot be ruled out for the time being.

Having said that, as the report continues, there is still no agreement with the club even if Paulo Fonseca is pushing for the Englishman’s arrival. Milan already have ‘a complete agreement’ with the striker and it remains to be seen if they will succeed with the Giallorossi too.

In the meantime, Fonseca is currently relying on Luka Jovic and Francesco Camarda for the final US friendly, wth Morata scheduled to arrive at Milanello soon.

  1. Keep Saelemakers.

I really don’t like this move, but since Roma wants to get rid of him more to raise their funds go for 5M with option with another 20M. He’s too much of a wildcard atm.

    1. I agree. I rather see Okafor as a third attacker and let Saelemaekers stay as a backup to Leao.

When we are chasing goals and want a sniper in the box and more of a targetplayer, Jovic is a good option to throw in next to Morata.

When we are defending a lead and the team is deeper back home, Okafor is a good option to throw in for counterattacks once Morata have run tired.

Jovic and Okafor are two very different strikers, but both useful for different match situations.

Abraham is a stronger player then Jovic and Okafor and a better target player, but he wont score more goals.

        1. So Abraham is injury prone and was figured out, but you said further down in the comments that signing Chiesa wouldn’t be a bad idea.
          Make it make sense brother.
          You are basically describing Chiesa.
If anyone is injury prone and has been figured out , is Chiesa. They had the same injury and that injury affects Chiesa more than Abraham since Chiesa’s whole game is based on his speed.
Mot to mention that Milan has absolutely zero need of another winger.

          1. The difference is 10 million and potentially 30 million. Open your eyes. Chiesa isn’t nearly as injury prone as Tammy.

        2. Chiesa and Abraham are the same age.
Chiesa has missed a total of 100 games because of injuries in his career.(57 because of his ACL surgery)

Abraham has missed a total of 75 games because of injuries. (47 because of his ACL surgery)

          1. Chiesa might leave for 10 million and Tammy for 25-30 million. Make it make sense, troll. Also, Chiesa still had 10 goals last season and a number of assists.

        3. So now I am a troll because you didn’t like the facts that Chiesa is much more injury prone than Abraham.
Oh Chiesa had more goals than Abraham last season? Really?
That’s because Chiesa injury was 2 years ago and Abraham was last season. He missed almost the entirety of the season.
Also, you are not getting Chiesa for 10 million. That’s your wishful thinking, just like no one is paying Roma 30 million for Abraham.
Milan has no need of Chiesa.
If they have anything in abundance it’s a winger.
          They need another striker.
But very mature response after you were proven wrong.
Just call a person a troll because you yourself were talking out of your Arsenal.
          Troll out.

          1. Chiesa can play a variety of positions, but I didn’t say I really wanted him. And I don’t want Tammy either, seeing that Roma want 30-35 million for him now.

Where was I proven wrong exactly? Chiesa is probably leaving for 10-15 million and Roma wants 30-35 million. What was wrong with my statement?

Abraham sucks. Especially for that money. You’re epically deluded.

          2. Oh and Chiesa is in his last year and Juventus miscalculated trying to offload him. They won’t get more than 15 million for him. They signed players before trying to offload him which was a mistake.

Tammy is a broken player and was found out by defenders and is far from fit. He isn’t the same player that he was for Roma in his first season. Nah, we don’t actually need him.

We’d be better off with Morata and Jovic, because then we wouldn’t need to waste so much money for a backup player we don’t even need.

          3. Amazing how you actually think Abraham would be a good signing. You’re speaking out of your arse and if you know anything about my posting history, I’d Actually rather Milan sign Pinamonti over Abraham. Abraham is a broken player. And just signing a striker out of desperation is a bad move!

        4. You:
“Open your eyes. Chiesa isn’t nearly as injury prone as Tammy.”

          Me:
Chiesa and Abraham are the same age.
Chiesa has missed a total of 100 games because of injuries in his career.(57 because of his ACL surgery)

Abraham has missed a total of 75 games because of injuries. (47 because of his ACL

All you have to do is reqd.
Chiesa socks. That’s why Juventus desperately wants him out.
Also, what does it say that for Chiesa according to you juve wants only 10-15 mil but Roma want 30-35 for Abraham?

        5. Chiesa is a broken player and was found out by defenders and is far from fit. He isn’t the same player that he was for Fiorentina in his last season. Nah, we don’t actually need him.

Same sh!t that you wanna say about Abraham applies to Chiesa.
Milan is searching for a striker, not a winger. They have plenty of wingers, most of them better than Chiesa.

I didn’t care if Milan sign or don’t sign Abraham. As long they don’t sign Juventus trash like Chiesa. Juventus doesn’t desperately want to get rid of him for no reason.

      1. agree with the two scenarios you mention, Jovic to bring when behind, Okafor when upfront (+can be also brought on the wing when behind). but what about the 3rd scenario – starting striker against low level teams? last season Giroud was starting against Verona, Lecce, Salernitana, Empoli, Frosinone. that was a big issue. I really hope Fonseca does rest Morata in these games, so who to start instead?

  2. I see people mentioning Chiesa. Wouldn’t be a bad idea. Juve kinda messed up with his exit and now look desperate as his contract up. They want 15 million, but could end up losing him for less.

    1. yes if Salemaekers were to leave, we need another winger as Pulisic will be AM. I’d like the idea of Chiesa for that a lot.

    2. Yeah if Saelemaekers leave, bringing in Chiesa for 15 million instead of Abraham would be a great deal. He can play on both wings and cover for both Leao and Chuckwueze if Pulisic is being used as an attacking midfielder.

And Okafor can be the third striker.

  3. Chieasa is one talented winger he can play right or left could assist and score goals ,he can play a false nine we should get him, forget about Tammy and train Okafor as a number nine central sriker. He is very talented and break down any defence with his pace and dribling skills
    Thanks

  4. Yes we need a striker. Why swap salemakers or okafor for that? We need the salemakers and okafor profiles no matter what. Tammy to Milan makes absolutely no sense for this sacrifice.

  5. Getting Chiesa makes zero sense now. First we don’t know how good Pulisic will be as an AM. Secondly Chuku seems like he is gaining form. Than we have Leao who will be starting on the left. So as much as I like Chiesa rather we get a proper DM because that’s what we need not a 6th winger.

  6. I don’t understand this move and it clearly wasn’t an idea before the summer. Abraham isn’t bad, but this just isn’t necessary. If you really want another backup striker, why not get Milik from Juventus, who announced a list of players they don’t need, including Chiesa, who could also be a fantastic (Italian) addition on the right or up front.

  7. If Alexis Saelemaekers leaves,he will score a wining against Milan and I hope he celebrates the goal, because Milan is about to make a big mistake by letting him go

  8. How clever of furlani to chase scraps that fall off the tables of other teams!!!! Who the hell wants abraham when he had such a woeful season with roma, mostly injured and looking like a sick ghost whenever he was on the pitch!!!! And then roma value him €35 million!!!!!! So inter’s lautaro is worth €250 million by these standards!!!!! OMG . ..
