Moise Kean remains AC Milan’s priority for the summer as they are following the player ‘very, very closely, which was confirmed by Matteo Moretto this evening.
The No.9 position has been a hot topic of discussion among Milan fans this season. The out-and-out strikers in the squad, namely Santiago Gimenez, Niclas Fullkrug and Christopher Nkunku, haven’t impressed enough and something needs to change for next summer.
As such, Milan are evelauating their options while also holding more in-depth discussions with Massimiliano Allegri, who is expected to get more power on the mercato. Therefore, which was also reported this morning, Kean is the most concrete link.
Kean is the No.1 target
As Moretto explains in his latest YouTube video, the Kean rumours have been circulating for quite some time. In January, however, Milan had already secured Niclas Fullkrug – who arrived quickly – and thus had no room for another striker to arrive.
Allegri, meanwhile, would have gladly welcomed Kean already in January as his appreciation for the player is very strong. As things stand, Milan are also following the player ‘very, very closely’ as a reinforcement in the summer.
It remains to be seen what price tag Fiorentina will set. However, as Moretto concludes, there are other factors, such as the friendship with Rafael Leao and Champions League football, that could lead Kean to push for the move.

9 goals this season for a team that has a myriad of problems. What’s happening there isn’t his fault. I’d welcome him at Milan.
Milan needs a long term solution upfront…a 20+ goal a season striker and Kean doesn’t guarantee that…he would be a good rotation player but not our reference point. It’s about time we get really serious about the no9 role, it’s been a real struggle with these shortermism hit and miss approach
Which striker guarantees 20+ goals?
Not even Lautaro any more.
Leao and Pulisic together 20.
Thats quite solide. Milan needs more goals from wingbacks and midfield.. Thats all.
Leao and Pulisic next to a good striker is 20 goals for the striker. He doesn’t need to be Haaland. Kean is a bit wasteful but playing with that duo would mean constant service which would mean a lot of goals. I’d prefer someone more clinical though tbh.
I’ll assume that’s a rhetorical question. It just wipes a season of clamoring off the table. Might as well stick with what we have, unless you want to ask another question…
You said its about time Milan gets serious about the n9 role and signs a striker that guarantees 20+ goals because Kean isn’t that. So who are these strikers that guarantee 20+ goals? Give us names.
Vlahovic.. who comes with 20+ million salary
Stop the dollhouse politicking. Unless you are from another planet. If you do follow soccer you will immediately think of at least 6 players way above of our salary cap that can give you that…but that is not the point ( bringing me back to your rhetorical question). The point is we have been complaining about a consistent striker that can give us goals. My argument is that we either get serious about finding that person or else Kean will come and do not significantly better than Gimenez or Fullkrug because he is not that. If we want to move the dial than let’s go look for that 20goal striker otherwise we will repeat this conversation 10 games into the new season. Hope you get that. And as for the names you will know who is that type of striker. So it’s either we go and get him or work with what we have. Kean just doesn’t cut it as a reference point (Kane, Lewandowski, Alvarez, Allan and Leonardo from Brazil, Daka, Taller, Marega, Nunez to name a few). But most of these are names that you might not know so waiting for your next comeback.
