Youssouf Fofana is expected to leave AC Milan this summer and a price tag has been decided, according to a report.

Fofana joined Milan in the summer of 2024, following tiring negotiations with Monaco, with the fee being around €26m. He still has two years left on his contract but after failing to impress consistently, the Rossoneri are now ready to part ways with him.

Earlier this week, there was a meeting between Fofana’s entourage and the Milan management, during which they agreed that a departure was the logical next step. However, while work is underway towards that, some conditions must be fulfilled.

Price tag set

In his latest YouTube video, Matteo Moretto provided an update on the Frenchman, once again confirming that he’s on the market. He also added that Milan have set the price tag at €20-25m, which feels very reasonable.

“They tell me that Fofana’s price tag is around €20-25m, so in short, Milan are ready to listen to offers for Fofana, but clearly the price must be right. We will see if there are any clubs interested in picking him up,” he said.

It remains to be seen if any inquiries will arrive at Casa Milan in the coming weeks. A return to Ligue 1 might be the most realistic option, but it’s all speculation for now.

  1. Even gila with one year contract lazio asking for 30m .. when will all these Milan management learn to sell for profit and not sell to clear off each year.

  2. It is rumors

I think Moretto and co cant know which player is or not for sale and the required money.

One sure is. Bennacer get new agent.

So this means Bennacer is probably preparing for potential and sooner exit.
This is important for Milan because he dropped significantly in terms of quality and he has around 8 to 9 million of cost on Milan balance sheet for gross salary and ammortisation

2 million sale would make small capital gain but more important is his big gross salary: is he going to accept paycut or someone is match his salary.

We all know, Milan will sell players for small capital gain players who are big on balance sheet and doesn’t contribute at all. Dinamo paying 40% of gross salary for Bennacer, means Milan cut for that amount losses last year.
Only Origi was on books too long for big paycheck and for nothing.
Emerson Royal at the end was sold, Morata even for capital gain, etc.

This season I expect sales of Bennacer definitely, Tomori, Ruben Loftus, even Fofana for decent amount, And Estupinan.

But no matter how does it sound, Tomori Ruben loftus are players on growth decree. They can be used as back up and giving contract extension. and Fofana are still in his prime and can be useful as a rotation also, and his value on books going down.
