Moretto: Milan complete signing of France U16 international for youth sector

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have closed yet another signing for their youth ranks as a deal is done for Leo Paul Bouyer, according to a report.

The 15-year-old plays for the youth teams of Paris FC and France, but it seems that Milan’s talent scouts have spotted him and moved early, just as they did for a number of other talents during the summer mercato.

According to Matteo Moretto of Relevo, Milan have now closed the operation for Léo Paul Bouyer which means that he will soon arrive and sign for the club. He was the first to report back in June that the Rossoneri were interested.

Milan signed a promising goalkeeper from France when Noah Raveyre signed from Saint-Etienne last year, but with the creation of the U23 team there are now more spots to fill, given that the Primavera obviously remain standing too.

Now there is plenty of competition with Raveyre an option as well as Lapo Nava – who seems to be the starter at the moment – and Alessandro Longoni. What Milan’s exact plans for Bouyer are remain to be seen.

Milan Futuro are in action this evening against Carpi, and we will have a match report when the game is completed.

  1. Unless Futuro are in fact allowed to play with rugby sized teams, why do they need a squad that’s bigger than most rugby squads?

How will the players get enough games?
