Moretto: Milan accelerate talks with expiring Liverpool man – when it should be done

Divock Origi has been heavily linked with AC Milan in the last few weeks as his contract will expire at the end of the season. Indeed, a Liverpool exit appears to be close as the Rossoneri have held new talks, a report claims.

Milan are looking for a striker ahead of next season as the likes of Olivier Giroud and Zlatan Ibrahimovic aren’t getting any younger. The latter might even retire this summer, which makes a signing even more necessary.

In the last few weeks, as said, Origi has been linked with a move to Milan. According to Matteo Moretto, the Rossoneri have held new talks with the player’s entourage and their intention is to finalise the signing.

The operation should be completed after the Champions League final between Liverpool and Real Madrid later this month. Origi will sign a four-year deal with Milan, per the journalist, and he will be one of the first summer signings.
