Matteo Moretto has responded to the idea that AC Milan have an agreement with Dusan Vlahovic over a pre-contract, denying the news.
Over the past few weeks, there have been a number of sources reporting that Milan are hoping to land Vlahovic having pursued him in the last summer transfer window. Moreover, there might be a more tempting opportunity, given a transfer fee would not be needed.

As MilanNews recall, on Tuesday night TeleLombardia journalist Cristiano Ruiu claimed that a source had told him that Milan had signed a preliminary contract with Vlahovic, whose deal expires at the end of the current season.
The news stated that the Rossoneri management had secured the approval of the Serbian striker on the basis of a contract worth €8m net per season, which would make him the highest-paid player by some distance.
Moretto’s denial
In their latest YouTube video, transfer market journalists Fabrizio Romano and Matteo Moretto provided their version of the story, also highlighting the limits within which Milan usually operate from an ownership perspective.
“That Allegri likes Vlahovic, that there is respect, that Milan wants and has been pursuing him for a long time, this is nothing new. With all due respect to other sources, what we know and what we understand is that Milan does not exceed certain salary parameters,” Moretto said.
“Offering a fixed base salary that exceeds €5m net per season, in short, is complicated. Theo Hernandez earned €5.1m, Leao with bonuses reaches €7m. Milan are very careful about certain financial parameters, exceeding €7m total with bonuses is not an option.”
He’s not worth more in terms of salary anyways, if he agrees that’s good but if not then good luck to him
That recent scouting report on Füllkrug suggests that Vlahovic in almost all areas important for Allegri, is not at all better than Füllkrug and/or Giroud. I don’t think this is the right move. Would rather have us pursue Moise Kean or Mateta in the summer. Now that would be some squad.
Fortini and CB (worst case, a stop-gap CB) should be our main focus.

This journalist does know that signing on bonuses exist, right? They give him a €5 million signing on fee than a 4-5 year contract on €7 million, the same as Leao. That’s a €40 million investment on a proven goalscorer. An obvious investment to make given how much was blown on Nkunku and Gimenez.

I dont know on what planet Vlahovic would be worth 8mil/season… Certainly not on Milan’s.
I don’t see any team outside of Saudi Arabia offering to pay him 8M euros net, at least not guaranteed as base salary. He already hit his big payday with his current contract, which puts him in the top 6-10 highest paid players in Europe. He has the luxury where he can focus on the best move for his playing career rather than simply looking for the biggest payday. He’s welcome to test the market, but he’ll find out sooner or later that his market value in Europe is closer to a max of 4-5M euros net + bonuses.
