Moretto: Sassuolo in negotiations with Milan over midfield outcast – the latest

Sassuolo are currently in negotiations over the Milan outcast Yacine Adli, but according to a report, reaching an agreement appears more difficult than first expected.

Adli returned from his season-long loan at Fiorentina earlier this summer as La Viola opted not to trigger the buy-out clause. Since then, as the midfielder isn’t part of Max Allegri’s plans, Milan have been working on an exit.

As has often been the case with Adli, however, finding a new club is far from an easy task. The Frenchman loves everything about Milan and has often put that ahead of playing time, which means he’s also picky when evaluating a departure.

Sassuolo in talks with Adli

According to Matteo Moretto in his latest video, Sassuolo have expressed a concrete interest in the player and are currently in talks with him, as well as Milan, over a move. For the time being, however, Adli remains unconvinced about joining the newly-promoted side.

The negotiations will continue and the Neroverdi will do their best to convince the 25-year-old. That being said, there are no guarantees that the deal will be unblocked, as Fabio Grosso’s side could turn to other targets instead.

For Milan, there is a small capital gain to be made and although a loan deal of some sort might be accepted, it would probably have to be with an obligation to buy.

  1. His love for Milan is commendable but sometimes you wish he will see the wisdom in getting playing time instead of risking being frozen out. Who knows playing consistently somewhere else might just give him the breakout he needs (there is hidden talent that needs play time).

  2. Can we swap him with Berardi? We need Pulisic’s backup of the right winger. He’s still damn good, especially against us if y’all remembered.

    1. We won’t get another winger i reckon, unless we sell Okafor / Chukwueze. As we even have the likes of Saelamaekers who can play winger as well as wing back / full back.

  3. Honestly – i like Adli. Seems as if everybody does. But pioli, fonseca, concensaio and now allegri never seem to want to play this guy. Can anyone pl explain why adli is always frozen out? He may not be a grand star but he plays his heart out in every game. Is he tactically indisciplined? Only reason i can think of – can anybody explain please?

      1. He is neither meat nor fish, no matter how much he loves Milan. Take what you can get, go play regularly while you’re young.

    1. I think you answered your own question. Fonseca, Conceciao, and Allegri do not think he was or is good enough to be in the Milan squad. Add fiorentina management to that list as well. He’s simply not good enough. Good luck to him at Sassualo or wherever he ends up.

  4. He should joint sassuolo, he can be locatelli 2.0 + play more regularly.. please think with your IQ bro Adli. You are football player not only Milan fans
