AC Milan had, according to reports, been taking a look at Igor Thiago’s situation at Brentford and Matteo Moretto reports that is all it will be.
In recent days, the name of Brentford’s star Brazilian had been put forward as a possibility for Milan and a few other Serie A clubs. A technically solid and physical striker, he has all the traits to succeed in Serie A.
Additionally, he is only 24 years old, so he should only improve. However, the Bees are very much aware of this and they have slapped a substantial price tag on their forward to fend off any interest.
Indeed, it appears that the interest will only go as far as that.
Thiago too expensive
As Matteo Moretto told Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel, the Brazilian is too expensive for any Italian club to consider, as MilanNews relays.
“Igor Thiago is certainly one of the most prolific goal scorers in the Premier League: 34 appearances and 21 goals this year. His contract expires in 2031, and there’s been talk in Brazil about Igor Thiago with an eye on Italy.
“AC Milan and Juventus have been mentioned, but I have to say that for Italy, it’s a practically impossible deal. We’re talking about figures that are out of reach for Italy, around €60-70 million. These are very high figures that are unattainable in Italy.
“Igor Thiago is a great striker, he’s reaching his peak performance, but he’s practically impossible to see in Italy.”
Considering the budget for next season’s mercato may be as little as €30 million, Thiago is just a tad outside of the bracket…

He’s also risky, while he’s been relatively injury free now, he basically missed whole of last season and even season before he missed couple months.
Can see him come here and pull an Isak
The same amount splashed on Nkunku-Gimenez
If u want to sign Igor Thiago or Vinisius,Raphina,Kaka, Pato u have to get him from Brazil when no one knows him and he will cost u 20 mil maybe 30 mil max not sign him when he costs 60 or 70 mil
😂😂😂😂 we dont have money for salary and for transfer only imagine 😂😂
Hilariously he was balling out in the Belgian league a few seasons ago when we could’ve gotten him for cheap, instead we got Jashari. Great scouting as usual Redturd.
Jashiri is also from the crappy Belgian league so you killed your own argument, dolt.
Strawman article. Who said any Serie A club was interested? No one.
