Mourinho confirms Roma midfielder will miss the game against Milan

AC Milan are currently preparing to face Torino on Saturday evening but some focus has shifted to next week’s game against Roma. Today, Jose Mourinho confirmed that one of his midfielders will miss out.

Stefano Pioli and his men will be looking to claim their second consecutive win tomorrow evening, taking on Torino in front of a sold-out San Siro. Then, before the international break, they will face Roma away from home.

During his press conference earlier today (via RomaPress), Jose Mourinho was asked about the condition of Renato Sanches who was forced to leave a training session. The manager confirmed that he will miss the Milan game.

“We have worked well over the last week. We will have Dybala and Pellegrini back with us. Although Renato Sanches is out. He had a small physical problem. I expect him to be out until after the break. It’s better not to rush him,” he stated.

The Portuguese midfielder arrived at the club this summer from Paris Saint-Germain and he has been struggling with injuries all of his career. This is something Milan fans are very familiar with, given their interest in the player last summer.

    1. LOL, I remember when SO MANY people were crying about missing out on this guy. Thanks PSG, for saving us from another Maldini/Massara error.

        1. Nope. You didn’t get the memo? Moncada is only involved in the faultless transfers. Anything bad is Maldini/Massara. There was no collective decisions until now /s

  1. Who cares if he plays or remains a medical practice tool?
My only problem is the way Maldini kept waiting on him and forgo other targets like he is some world class we didn’t know he was.

      1. Moncada was scouting Enzo very early on and he was pushing for Milan to sign him. However, Maldini had the final say and he preferred Renato Sanches…

        1. Not exactly, Enzo already signed the contract with Benfica (mid June, even though Benfica agreed to let him finish Libertadores first before moving) before Maldini get the transfer budget from Cardinale (late June).

  2. Acmilan should return to their favoured line up which is the 4-2-3-1 to get the best out of leao, chukwueze, pulisic, and Geroud

      1. I agree with this too but we have all be accusing Pioli of being too static and rigid. Let him try this 433 for a while amd see it’s merits and demerits. Afterwards, we can be switching from one system to the other depending on each opponent

  3. Poor guy. He chose PSG instead of Milan. Now he has ended up with Roma. I am sure he would be bitting his nail in regret now
