AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie has drawn level with two of the club’s most recognisable icons on 26 goals, Milan TV have reported.
The Ivorian scored from the penalty spot in midweek to rescue a point for his side against Udinese in the seventh minute added at the end of the 90.
Milan TV (via MilanNews) showed an interesting graphic revealing the numbers of Kessie in the Rossoneri shirt. With his 26 goals in 169 appearances, the former Atalanta star has equalled two greats in Ronaldinho and Frank Rijkaard in terms of the number of goals scored for the Rossoneri.
Of those 26 goals, 17 came from the penalty spot as it seems he has now taken full responsibility from 12 yards. “Il Presidente” also scored 23 right-footed and three left-footed goals.
His services may very well be needed again today as Milan face Hellas Verona without a number of key players due to an injury bug that has swept through the squad again.
