AC Milan are interesting in bringing Tiago Djalo back to the club from Lille and they will not face competition from Barcelona, according to a report.
Mundo Deportivo recall that some reports circulating recently have linked Barca with a move for Djalo. The 23-year-old Portuguese international defender, who is recovering from a knee injury, has a contract with Lille which expires in June 2024.
The Spanish source confirms that his name is in the orbit of Serie A clubs such as Milan, Inter and Juventus, but Barcelona are not considering signing a central defender of Djalo’s mould.
Having played in the academies of Sporting CP and Milan, Djaló has established himself as one of the best young defenders in Ligue 1 since his move to Lille as part of the Rafael Leao deal.
The Rossoneri are looking at potentially re-signing him given their issues at centre-back, while Barca are instead focus on signing two full-backs, a winger, a midfielder and another centre-forward.
