In recent days, AC Milan have been linked with Marcus Thuram as they are looking to sign a striker in the summer. The Frenchman’s contract will expire then but unfortunately, that has resulted in hefty competition.
Milan are on the verge of renewing Olivier Giroud’s contract but they also know that a younger player will be needed for the future. Noah Okafor seems to be the main target, as per Gazzetta Dello Sport, but Thuram is also on the list.
This was reported by the newspaper five days ago (read here), but it seems the current Mönchengladbach striker will remain just a dream. According to Mundo Deportivo, Thuram’s agents have offered the player to Barcelona and many other teams are interested as well.
The striker’s father, former player Lilian Thuram, hasn’t made it a secret that he wants his son to join Barcelona in the summer. In spite of their financial situation, as the report concludes, it’s a deal that interests them a lot.
id like to know how Barca can keep signing players and can compete in Europe when other clubs are banned from doing both when they are in similar situations. same rules don’t apply for everyone.
As long as they can generate money, ffp can’t do nothing. They generate money by selling their assets, or what we often hear by the economic levers. These include the sell (partial / share) of Barcelona Licensing & Merchandising compan, their tv rights, and Barcelona Studios.
that has to be done before they can sign new players. they didnt do that last year and they didnt generate enough income to pay players their salaries already on contract. so they shouldn’t have participated in europe nor signed new players. we were banned from europe for smaller discrepancies and our players received their salaries.
Yep. That just highlights the fact that “all clubs aren’t treated equally” by UEFA.
Barca cannot sign him. Moukoko is also on a free, he’s a more realistic option. Okofor isn’t prolific. He struggles to score in a mediocre league.
