AC Milan midfielder Yunus Musah has spoken highly of both the players at the club and the fans following his first start for the Rossoneri.
Speaking to Milan TV after the match (via Milan News), the American midfielder explained that he was welcomed by the Milan players very well after his arrival from Valencia late in the 2023 summer transfer window.
“It’s a good group, from day one they welcomed me well. There are very good and down-to-earth players, they helped me a lot,” Musah said.
Musah had been limited to appearances from the bench so far this season but he was handed a start on the right wing for the match against Verona on Saturday after Stefano Pioli switched to a 3-4-3 formation. Fans were impressed with his athleticism as he ran the line for almost the entire game.
On the game itself, Musah said: “Every game we look for the three points. It was a good three points, every point has to be fought for. I am happy.”
Musah also spoke to DAZN after the match (via Milan News) and he chose to talk more specifically about the fans inside the stadium.
“It doesn’t change for me, even from the bench I feel the fans a lot. They help us a lot, I feel great from the pitch. They are fantastic,” Musah said.
