Musah ‘happy at Milan’ and believes he can ‘grow a lot’ thanks to ‘trust’ from Pioli

Yunus Musah believes that he is growing a lot since he joined AC Milan, and also stressed that he feels the trust of head coach Stefano Pioli.

Musah joined Milan in the summer transfer window from Valencia and to many he was an unknown quantity, but for those who had watched his performances for his national team and for the LaLiga side they knew of his high potential.

After taking part in a friendly against Germany for the USA, La Gazzetta dello Sport spoke to Musah about the game and how the last few months have been for him.

“It was frustrating, Germany dominated us and it’s not nice when it happens like that,” he said.

Musah has so far impressed in the opportunities that he has been given by Pioli despite starting the season as an option off the bench. He filled in when Ruben Loftus-Cheek suffered an injury, and took the chance well.

“The coach gave me a lot of trust, even here in the national team I feel the coach’s trust. I’m happy at Milan, I can grow a lot.”

One week from today Milan will play Juventus at San Siro and there could be four Americans on the pitch at once: Musah, Christian Pulisic, Weston McKennie and Timothy Weah.

“Beautiful, I hope to be able to play with all of them. It will be a great moment.”

  1. Best summer signing. Actually young and with space to develop, and is already showing he can be much more useful for us than RLC.
