GdS: Musah prioritises Italy stay over Nottingham Forest as Napoli submit official bid

Napoli have made an offer for Yunus Musah and the player would prefer to join them over Nottingham Forest, a report claims.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) this morning, Napoli have recently reignited their interest in signing Musah, a player they had been pursuing with interest for several weeks.

The Italian champions have even submitted a new official offer to Milan, worth €22m plus bonuses. Napoli manager Antonio Conte sees the American as a suitable alternative to Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa.

Nottingham Forest are also still keen on the former Valencia man, but the player would prefer to remain in Italy and that could have a big bearing on where he ends up. To have a transfer battle is good news for Milan, though, in terms of driving the price up.

Surplus to requirements?

In the past few days, the reliable Matteo Moretto spoke about how Massimiliano Allegri actually wants Musah to stay at the club because he is a believer in his qualities. However, the sporting director Igli Tare suggested differently in an interview in June.

“I think Musah is an excellent player, but we are looking for profiles with characteristics that are useful for the project we have together with mister Allegri. We are looking for deeper midfielders in a three-man midfield,” he said.

““Musah does not have these characteristics, he can play in a two or three [man midfield] but with other characteristics. This is the real reason why we want to do something different. We are also evaluating the intervention of another player in midfield together with a striker.”

      1. Kaka i now you dont like him and you wrote he is monkey,so your comment is like idiot talk about gravitation.
Musah come here for 20m and he not yet developed because Milan’s coaches was disaster to him, move him at one to another place. He never complied and never talk bad about club (like example Lookman doing now) so kid is great and we need keep him and developed.
Also if 30m come with bonuses he can go because is that normal price for player like Musah. You are rasist and because that you not see value for this kid

        1. How am I racist? He’s just like Krunic to me, a donkey. You must be drunk to think anyone in their right mind would pay over 30mill for him. Did you see him yesterday against Championsip side Leeds? A headless chicken who holds the ball too long and does nothing.

          1. Bro, if he was that bad how come 2 top coaches wants him. Where did Krunic go? Where is he playing now? Your comparison makes no sense at all. PL team didn’t come knocking for lord Krunic.

          2. Eddie, reading comprehension, how does it work? He said I’m racist because I think Musah is a donkey and I’m saying I also thought Krunic was a donkey because they’re both trash. Conte also wanted Emerson at Spurs haha. And what PL team is “knocking” for this bum? Nottingham Forest, don’t make me laugh, guarantee they finish in the bottom half of the PL this year.

          3. Kaka calling musah a donkey I dnt angry with that cause he is still out player but that guy needs to guy he is not good for Milan truly a headless chicken with no ball sense

  1. Frendrup and deWinter double deal?

with deWinter’s versatility, if we will have the ambition to get Comuzzo as well… that would be the dream but it’s most likely gonna be just 1

    1. Ha yes that would be awesome but realistically there’s no way we get 2 young CBs … is there? I think we get one of KDW or Comuzzo. Even if Leoni probably the one with the highest ceiling , he costs too much

  2. since we need cash for the striker position and we have more than enough options in midfield we should sell him for 25 mil including bonuses. We are running out of time to be gambling especially since we are struggling to offload Adli, Bennacer etc…

    1. You’re blind, stupid and/or drunk. We have Modric Ricci Jashari RLC Fofana and Sala all ahead of him in the midfield. And yes, Sala played 20x better than him yesterday.

  3. Currently watching Musah make the wrong decision every single time he gets the ball and wondering how we have bids for him.

  4. Seeing musah today shows he just isn’t intelligent enough tactically and he should be sold asap. Absolute liability.

  5. I think we’ve experimented with Musah long enough. He was unlucky with the coaching rotations in the last year, but if Forrest comes in with an offer, Milan should sell …

  6. Just today against Chelsea, aside from the total uselessness, first goal, his foul. Penalty, his foul. I’d like to think he’s being warned by the coaching staff against such headless chicken stuff! Or else it’d be a whole bigger problem… but the fact is, he’s still out there repeating the very same mistakes! Costly if I may add! No hope with this one.
