Musah pledges to try score more and insists Milan must show ‘great attention’ vs. Empoli

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan midfielder Yunus Musah has stated his wish to get more involved in scoring goals, while he stressed that the team must face the game against Empoli with ‘great attention’.

Milan will head into the clash with a bit of confidence after two wins in a row against Lazio and Slavia Praha, but the feeling is that the performance could have been a lot better in both of those games given how long they played against 10 men.

Bologna’s defeat to Inter last night has provided a chance to further pad the gap inside the Champions League places, while the fact Juventus play Atalanta later means that second is very much up for grabs.

Nonetheless, Empoli will not be an easy opponent as they have lost just one of their last seven games, escaping the relegation battle under Davide Nicola.

Musah spoke to Milan TV in the build-up to the game against Empoli, with his comments relayed by MilanNews.

“All matches are difficult, we will have to approach this match with great attention. Am I missing some goals? I have to score more goals, that’s for sure. We want to have a good end to the season, so today we need a victory.”

Musah also spoke to DAZN, adding: “Empoli are playing very well, we are prepared for this. We must have maximum concentration and maximum intensity. How am I? I’m fine, I’m training hard so I can help my team-mates when I’m on the pitch.”
