Nancy midfielder Bondo responds to Milan rumours: “They would help me grow”

By Isak Möller -

Over the last few months, AC Milan have been linked with several young players on the market, which isn’t surprising given their youth project. Warren Bondo is one of them, currently playing for Nancy in Ligue 2.

Just last week, SportItalia reported that the Rossoneri are preparing a new offer for the young midfielder, aged 17. Nancy have asked for €2m and Milan want to get close to that by including bonuses in their offer.

Speaking to the microphones of l’Est Republicain, as cited by MilanNews, Bondo himself responded to the rumours linking him with Milan. He made it clear that he wants the good of Nancy, but also admitted it would do him a lot of good to join Milan.

“I have no desire to clash with my club. I would like to leave a good memory here. I’m not the kind of person who sulks or seeks conflict. AC Milan? Many young players have failed by going abroad too quickly, I know. But at the same time, I’m not the type to be afraid.

“Being in the company of people like Zlatan, Giroud, Kessie and many others would help me to grow enormously. But we are not at this point yet. I’m at Nancy, 100% involved in the team project. The goal is to prepare well for the next game in Caen,” he stated.

It remains to be seen if the youngster will end up at the club this summer or in the future, as it seems head scout Geoffrey Moncada is keen on him.
