Napoli’s fans have expressed their support for the Milan faithful amid the restriction that was imposed by the authorities, prohibiting Lombardy residents for travelling to the game.
It was last week that the blow was dealt to the Milan fans: no fans residing in Lombardy will be allowed entry in Naples. Obviously, the reactions weren’t exactly positive and the Curva Sud launched an appeal, albeit to no avail.
While some might see it as a way for Napoli to gain an advantage, making use of a loophole that doesn’t really have anything to do with football, it’s not the case. In fact, the Napoli ultras have now expressed their support.
With a banner outside Curva A, they sent a message to the authorities: “Enough with territorial bans, we want our rivals back!”

It’s great to see the fans expressing their support, especially since it’s not the first time there has been a ban this season. Inter also couldn’t have any Lombardy residents at the game, though there were still some fans present.
Indeed, as confirmed by MilanNews earlier, there will be roughly 1k Milan fans present at the stadium, i.e. fans who don’t live in Lombardy.
