CM.it: Milan face competition from Napoli for defender – €25m required to complete deal

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan now face competition from title rivals Napoli in the race to land Torino centre-back Bremer, according to a report.

According to Calciomercato.it, Milan and Napoli are the two teams who are most concretely considering Bremer as a reinforcement for their defensive departments and have been alerted by the comments from Torino president Urbano Cairo, who has suggested he could be sold if the right offer comes in.

Bremer’s price tag is currently €30m or rather that is the amount that Torino want, so a deal could be closed at around €25m. A few months ago an offer of €15m came from Fulham but it was rejected because the player himself wanted to stay and continue his journey.

The 24-year-old is now planning a jump to a bigger club though, and while Milan are evaluating a series of options to cover for Simon Kjaer’s injury, Napoli must also replace Kostas Manolas who will join Olimpiacos.
