AC Milan have several players out on loan regarding whom they are awaiting news on the respective option to buy clauses, and Noah Okafor is among them.
According to TMW, as we approach the end of the season Napoli will have to resolve a few issues regarding potential buy-outs of players currently in Antonio Conte’s squad, ahead of the 2025-26 season.
Okafor is one of those names. Up to now his physical problems have affected his performance, but in the final part of the season he could become an important player for Conte given his versatility and the fact he has unique attributes within the squad.
The issue is that the option to buy which Milan and Napoli shook hands on was set at €23.5. At present he would return to the Rossoneri because they have seen nowhere close to that value, though the final part of the campaign could see the Swiss write a different story.
Napoli’s sporting director Giovanni Manna spoke about Okafor’s arrival Milan, admitting that he was a bit behind in terms of his physical condition. There was talk of him failing a medical with RB Leipzig, but as we revealed a late attempt to change economic aspects of the operation saw it collapse.
Surprise surprise!
Here we go again…
At 23mil Napoli was never gonna keep him, and no other team for that matter. Did Milan even try to get him off the books at that price. Sad to see his career spiral downwards like this, maybe a new coach and new atmosphere might get the best out of him.
Obviously they did, that why he’s at Napoli. What point did you think you made?
Doesn’t seem like Napoli would ever pay that release amount for Okafor. They probably agreed to whatever buyout just to get him in to plug in the giant Kvara hole without any intention of actually buying him.
it sure does look like it. Milan wanted it off the books so we could bring Felix and Napoli needed to quickly plug the Kvara’s wing hole. Unless they did amazing, Neither Milan would pay Felix’s wages and fee, nor would Napoli pay 20+ for Okafor.
He is young and cheap option for Milan bench. It is good to send him on loan again, but not in terms of sale but playing time. He could be sold in couple of years just like Adli. It is worth keeping him on balance sheet untill he find his best form.
u give Dani Malda 4 free then put price 23m in Oka? wata genius
This is not surprising in the least, Napoli just needed cover for Kvar, unless okafor actually performed (which most of us knew he wouldn’t) Napoli still wouldn’t pay 23mill for him
