The Scudetto race remains alive ahead of the second half of the season but Napoli clearly have a big advantage, eight points ahead of AC Milan. Giacomo Raspadori believes the Rossoneri are their biggest threat, though.
Serie A will resume on January 4 and Milan need to start strong, taking on Salernitana away from home. They cannot afford to widen the gap up to Napoli and thus every game will have to be treated like a final.
Speaking to Corriere Dello Sport, as cited by SempreMilan.it, Napoli forward Giacomo Raspadori was asked about the Scudetto race. He stated that Milan are the biggest threat in their pursuit of the trophy.
“It will inevitably be difficult. Milan seem to be the most capable of scaring us, and then there is also Juventus, who are making a comeback. The eight-point lead puts us in a privileged position, it’s always better to stay ahead than to chase, but it’s clear that we can’t feel safe,” he stated.
It remains to be seen what the outcome of the race will be but it’s clear that Milan have a difficult task ahead. Especially considering that they most likely won’t make any reinforcements in January, which will surely anger some fans.
