Napoli have gone back in for Yunus Musah, according to reports, but contacts with AC Milan never stopped.

According to the latest from Sky, Napoli are back on the trail of Musah. Aurelio De Laurentiis’ club maintained contact with Milan and could make another attempt to sign the American midfielder, despite Nottingham Forest also now showing interest him.

How things left off

The last meeting between the two teams in June ended in a negative outcome, with the parties unable to reach an agreement on the total transfer fee – of around €25m – despite the player’s approval. With the arrival of Ardon Jashari, Musah’s chances of playing time have further diminished.

The 23-year-old is seen as a player with great versatility, capable of playing various roles and always putting himself at the service of the team. These are characteristics that convinced Antonio Conte that he wants the ex-Valencia man.

Gianluca Di Marzio also confirms the news that the Partenopei have once again intensified their interest in Musah, after discussions in recent weeks which did not lead to an agreement. Last season Musah made 40 appearances in all competitions, providing three assists.

It remains to be seen if Milan might have a bit of a ‘softer’ stance when it comes to the transfer fee, after the outlay to get Ardon Jashari.

    1. Jashari come , we don’t need Guerra, for now our midfield is okey. Now we need sell few players like Musah or Bondo/Fofana…( and yes of course also Adli and Bennacer who are out of project)
Now it’s time to buy a striker

        1. Per Transfermarkt, Ricci, Fofana, Adli and Bennacer are all DMs (although I’m skeptical of the designation of Adli as such). So even if you sold the last three, we’d still have a “real DM”.

  1. Musah has considerable skill and speed, but has always looked like a headless chicken whenever I’ve seen him play. Maybe Allegri can sharpen up his tactical game…

    1. Agree… It seems he’s not using his intelligence wisely… We don’t have issue with his skill and stamina

      1. ” It seems he’s not using his intelligence wisely…”

Nope. The correct sentence would be: “It seems he’s lacking footballing intelligence completely.”

        1. Conte likes the guy, so does Allegri, Nottm Forest and West Ham apparently. Sounds like a credible bunch to me!?

Clearly the ‘geniuses’ in the sempre milan echo chamber know much more…or can it be that those lacking in intelligence are actually in here?

          1. Allegri? LOL. Even the Milan management has publicly said “he doesn’t have the qualities we need” which is basically the same thing we are saying here. He simply isn’t good enough and never will be.

Conte? The guy just won the scudetto and has already improved the squad. Maybe he feels bad for the others and wants to challenge himself with a tool like Musah to prove he can turn cr4p into gold.

It doesn’t take a “genius” to see that Musah is useless and hopeless. Have you ever watched him play? Either you haven’t or you’re the “genius one” here. 🙂

  2. We are acting on this transfer as Club Brugge. Making impossible for the deal to go through.

Big difference Jashari seems to be a promising and proper football player. Musah and Emerson Royal are 2 guys that I swear God don’t know how the hell became professional football players.

    1. Probably the same way Adli, Gabbia, Terraciano and the other underperforming players we need to get rid of and no one else wants?

  3. Left to do is sell Musah, Bennacer and Adli to fund a purchase of Nunez.

Midfield is now Fofana, R-L-C, Bondo, Modric, Ricci and Jashari. More then enough midfielders for both 4-3-3 and 3-5-2 without European cup football.

RB and CB are the two last signings.

Hopefully we get one RB soon who is better defensively for a 4-3-3, and then he use Saelemaekers as more of a wingback in 3-5-2.

Left is to go all in on good established striker.

    1. not Nunez… he can’t score in an empty goal…

why is Dusan disrespected so much? He will be our new N9 for sure… final year on contact, Juve losing 40M per season (amortisation + salary)… the ball is literally in our favor (15M gives them 3M loss)…

which club wouldn’t save 37M if they had a chance?!

  4. After that, my guess is that you’ll never hear from him again. The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn’t exist. And like that… he’s gone.

      1. So you make an idiotic reply to my comment and then remove the option to reply? Coward! if you can’t back up your comments sensibly then don’t engage. Only a coward makes comments and then runs. Btw your Conte comment was beyond ridiculous and tells me all I need to know about your IQ.

    1. Estupinan has already been brought in from Brighton to replace Theo so the left back seems to have been fixed.

      1. yeah Barte and Estupinan will be LB in back 4

Jimenez is shaky as RB, RM being clearly his better position; quality RB is a must but we are signing the kid from Young Boys (not Epstein/Trump’s island; an actual club lmao)

        1. Yeah we seem covered there but even then if it was in the plans to promote Magni he can also play in that position.

😀 Well shouldn’t it be young girls then 😛 bad taste humor aside I can’t really speak of the young kid as I doesn’t know enough of him to make a qualified assessment but again Magni can also cover that position and even though I agree that Jimenez should be played further up the field then at least Saelemaekers can cover that position for a few games even if it’s not 100% ideal we then at least know he will work his socks off.

  5. News from pink paper that Milan already reject 35m for thiaw. Woww.. maybe Milan at least wants 40m pound. Sold musah at least 25m, so Milan can buy vlahovic if really needed. Hojlund + Nunez price are out of Milan world. Never materialize or at least loan + option to buy.

  6. Sell musha fine but don’t sell him to a rival, especially conte. This would be a terrible mistake that will have all of us regretting our impatience. Musha reminds me of Leao when he first arrived not good but such obvious talent at a young age you just knew with patience he’d be world class. Musha may not have world beater potential but I can’t see him becoming a very good FB/WB/B2B under Conte which would be rough

    1. If Conte can turn Musah into a half decent player, we need to give him the award of the best coach of the XXIst century right now, no need to wait 2100 and build a 100m tall golden statue of him somewhere.

      1. This. It would be the magic trick that no one would ever figure out how the f*** did he managed to pull that off.

  7. Haven’t seen Bondo do anything. There’s a reason every coach loves Musah. We don’t want to find out why in the wrong way. Don’t sell him within Serie A

  8. Fofana? why sell him? He’s is a solid player. and has played 25 times for France. France has a complete galaxy of class midfielders to choose from. Do you realize how good a player has to be to get into that team? contrast that with Adli…zero games for France.
