While Massimiliano Allegri offered full insight into preparations for AC Milan’s trip to Napoli, Antonio Conte will not provide any.
As MilanPress point out, Conte hasn’t spoken and won’t speak before the game at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona. A ‘strategy of silence’ has been adopted by the Neapolitan club and the coach ahead of a crucial big match for both teams’ remaining Scudetto hopes.
It is not really a brand new thing for Conte to skip a pre-match press conference as he has done so before, even this season. However, it is certainly a talking point in view of what is a huge game in the title race, especially when his opposite number did speak.
Indeed, the former Inter and Juventus boss will not answer questions about the condition of his injured players, his tactical plan to face Allegri, nor the more controversial topics like the links with the Italy job and the Romelu Lukaku soap opera.
On their website, Napoli write: “One day to go until Napoli-Milan. The Azzurri trained at the SSC Napoli Training Center on the eve of the match against the Rossoneri. The group was involved in a morning session, carrying out an activation phase and then some technical-tactical work.”
