Nasti discusses loan spell and his future with Milan: “I have the cazzimma”

Marco Nasti is currently on loan at Cosenza and he has seemingly found his stride, scoring some important goals lately. The striker has now opened up about the loan and his future with AC Milan.

Nasti was the big star of the Primavera side and thus attracted interest from Serie B in the summer. In the end, Milan agreed to send him on Cosenza and after a slow start, the 19-year-old is starting to show his true self.

In 19 appearances, he has found the back of the net four times and the last three of them were game-decisive for Cosenza. Speaking to Gazzetta Dello Sport, Nasti opened up about the loan spell so far and the future with Milan.

On the game-winning brace off the bench vs. Reggina…

“Three minutes that could change the team’s season and your career. We needed the points to continue chasing the goal we certainly deserve. For me, it was fantastic to cheer in front of our fantastic crowd with two goals, and what a goal. Unique sensation, I live for the goal.”

Do you feel precarious on loan?

“Absolutely not. Indeed, for me it means above all to grow up, to become a man. And it’s also a stimulus to show Milan how much I’m worth.”

Who inspires you?

“Benzema. He’s my idol for how he scores and creates chances. Technically, he’s devastating. I watch his videos to understand how he moves in the area, how he senses situations to hurt.”

From whom did you steal the most in training with the first team of Milan. And what?

“Definitely Giroud, a striker like me. I took with me the way he gets angry if he does the slightest thing wrong and in the next action, he does everything to not repeat the mistake. I understood that the difference with the greats is not the technique but the attitude, the temperament. Just see how they call the ball, it looks like bullshit but it makes the difference.”

Lazetic last season, the year before Pellegri. Pioli doesn’t seem to have much luck with young centre-forwards…

“He believes so much in young players. I trained a lot with the first team during the Covid period when there were few forwards. I caught the virus, and I wasn’t able to carve out the space for myself.”

But the club is very skilled in breeding them. Before you Colombo, Tsadjout, Cutrone, Petagna…

“Yes. From the Under 15s to the Under 17s we did specific training for the forwards with an ad hoc coach, Costantino Borneo, who made us train on the typical situations. Before the session, he showed us videos of Icardi’s movements in the box at Inter…”

This year you only made your debut on matchday seven, after two benches and four games in the stands…

“It was my first experience away from home. I arrived just after the Under 19 Euros and with some knee problems. Then the jump between Primavera and Serie B is big. Nutrition, workloads, training, match pace, all different.”

And in the end, you will go back to Milan…

“I don’t know. I feel ready. It’s not easy to pull it off, but I have the cazzimma (a mix of malice, egoism and slyness, editor’s note) it takes.”

And on Wednesday there is Milan-Napoli in the Champions League…

“A particular game for me, in my house there are Napoli supporters.”

There’s no doubt that Milan believe in the youngster a lot and it will be interesting to see what decision will be made in the summer. The most likely, and realistic one, is another loan spell for a similar journey that Lorenzo Colombo made.

  1. He will be sold for 5m to some bottom table Serie A club and then he’ll become a bomber and end up at another big club.
